Katie Price feared she'd lose her son Harvey when he was taken into intensive care in 2020

The 42-year-old star was left fearing for her son's life after he experienced breathing difficulties and developed a worryingly high fever in July

Katie - whose 18-year-old son has Prader-Willi syndrome and is also on the autistic spectrum - shared: "The main thing for me is his weight, because he is 29 stone, he was in intensive care last year.

"And I, at one point, I thought I was going to lose him because of his weight, because of his heart."

Katie has opened up on the struggles of raising her son as he makes the transition into adulthood for a new documentary.

She told 'Steph's Packed Lunch': "Obviously I’ve done this BBC documentary which some people will be like, ‘Well, why have you done that?’

"Because I think he’s the right age and to show other families the next step of being an adult, trying to find a college for him."

Katie also explained that her personal experiences have increased the respect she has for nurses and carers around the country.

The TV star said: "It is very full on, very hard work. I would not change him for anything, especially now because he’s not at school.

"But it’s very challenging but at the same time very rewarding. So if there are any carers or nurses watching, I have massive respect for you guys, because no one ever says, 'Are you alright?'"

Meanwhile, Carl Woods recently admitted he “can’t stand” Katie’s alter ego, Jordan.

The 31-year-old car dealer suggested he wouldn't have dated Katie if he'd met her during her glamour modelling days.

Carl said: "In truth, if I’d met Katie a few years ago when she was going through that stage, we wouldn’t have worked out.

“If she was still her ‘Jordan’ alter ego, we would have clashed because I hate partying."
