Latest Stats NZ figures show the inflation rate has dropped to 2.2 percent -- back within the Reserve Bank's one to three percent target range.
Just three months ago, inflation was 3.3 percent.
And just two years ago, it was 7.3 percent -- a once-in-a-generation high.
