Avan Jogia loves being able to "make art" with Halsey

The 33-year-old actor got engaged to 'Without Me' singer Halsey, 30, towards end of 2024 after almost a year of dating and admitted he relishes being in a relationship with someone who has the same creative mindset

He told People: "One of the great joys of being with someone who's an artist is being able to make art with them and to go back and forth about the art that they're making and how you can contribute and be helpful, and them being able to contribute and be helpful to your own art.

"The only thing that I care about is the making of things.

"So when you have someone who can meet you there and meet you where you're at, that's one of the joys of it, for sure.

"If he busts through the door and has an idea, and I bust the door and have an idea, and it doesn't have to be about acting or music or movies - it could be a cookbook - we just make what we have to /

"I think I'm happy to have found someone I can be matched with in that capacity."

The 'Obsession ' star shot to fame alongside Ariana Grande and Elizabeth Gillies when he took on the role of Beck Oliver on the Nickelodeon series 'Victorious' in the late 2000s, and Halsey recently revealed that she would watch the teen sitcom when it aired but wasn't really attracted to her now-fiance at the time.

Speaking on 'The Tonight Show', she said: "I would come home every day after school to babysit them and [Victorious] was on. Sometimes, my brothers would not be in the room and I would watch the show.

"I didn't think Beck was cute, sorry!"
