Jennifer Lawrence has admitted the dog in Die My Love "annoyed the s***" out of her

Speaking on Entertainment Weekly's The Awardist podcast, Jennifer said: "That dog annoyed the s*** out me."

Robert replied: "I think one of the reasons the dog was barking so much is 'cause it was very upset by how much you were judging it. It was very nervous from day one."

Jennifer admitted: "I'm more of a cat person."

The Mickey 17 actor insisted the pooch was a "sweet dog" who didn't have a lot to do other than sit for long periods of time, so scripts had to rewritten to accommodate the animal.

Jennifer then clarified: "To accommodate the barking."

And further tweaks had to be made for the twins who played their baby because they both "hated their car seat".

Jennifer said: "We had to recalibrate a lot. Normally, you could just plop a baby in a car seat, and the twins were like, hell no, I hate that thing.'"

The Hunger Games actress - who has Cy, three, and a second son who was born earlier this year with husband Cooke Maroney - recently revealed she was thrilled about the prospect of having a second child so she was "caught off-guard" when she was struck by postpartum depression following the birth.

She told the Daily Telegraph newspaper: "I was really excited to have another baby. My toddler was getting to the age where he was like: 'You stink. Get away from me!' and I was thinking how nice it would be to have a little baby again.

"But after he was born I actually got really bad postpartum [depression], which came to me as a total surprise, because I felt like I knew what to expect from motherhood. I was really slammed, it really caught me off-guard.

"My baby was six weeks old. I was a little tired, I had the 'Oh, wow, my entire life is different, every day is different' moments. I was having an identity crisis, for sure."

Jennifer would have turned down her role in Die My Love if she'd seen the script when she was battling the same issues in real life.

She explained: "[If I had been] feeling the way I was, I would have closed the book after the second page. I wouldn't have been able to go there. Because you want to get away from those feelings, you don't want to dive into them."
