Lisa Vanderpump thinks the new series of Vanderpump Rules is "very different"

The long-running reality TV series underwent a reboot ahead of season 12, and Lisa is convinced that the all-new cast will prove to be a hit with viewers.

The 65-year-old star told People: "The continuation is the essence of working in the restaurant business, and I'm still here and that's obviously the crux of the matter, but the most important thing, always in a show like this, is the relationships and the people and the cohesion, and that's very different.

"They're very different people. The world has changed. The world has moved on. I think Gen Z are incredibly different to how young people were 12 years ago."

The show's original cast featured the likes of Tom Sandoval, Ariana Madix, Scheana Shay, Katie Maloney, Tom Schwartz, and Lala Kent.

And Lisa has promised that the upcoming season will be markedly different.

She said: "We would never try to do the same show again. We've done that. We've moved on.

"The problems they had in the last cast at the end of Vanderpump Rules, they were much bigger, much more serious. Not an emotional level, but we would talk about starting businesses and marriages and things like that. Whereas this, these are naughty, young, funny people living their best life. And so it's kind of back to grassroots."

Lisa recently claimed that there's "a lot more depth" to the new stars of Vanderpump Rules.

The hit reality TV show features a brand new cast that includes the likes of Venus Binkley, Jason Cohen, Chris Hahn, Angelica Jensen, Marcus Johnson, Audrey Lingle, Kim Suarez, Natalie Maguire and Demy Selem, and Lisa gave fans of the show an insight into what they expect from the upcoming season.

Speaking on the Watch Party by Bravo: Vanderpump Rules Premiere panel, Lisa shared: "One of the most important things for me is that I like them all. I really do.

"For all their naughtiness and their hijinks ... there are other aspects to their character that you will see, things that they have been through in life that change your opinion, more sensitive sides of them. They talk about relationships, relationships with their parents. All of those characters, you see a surface, but there's a lot more depth."
