    Tracy Morgan has fed 19,000 families through his charity work

    The 57-year-old actor - who has Gitrid, 39, Malcolm, 38, and Tracy Jr., 34, with late ex-wife Sabina Morgan and 12-year-old Maven with former spouse Megan Wollover - has donated over $200,000 to support those in need via the Hackensack Meridian Health Foundation and he thinks it is important to help others.


    He told People magazine: "I fed 19,000 families

    "It's fun to get the love and support, but it's better when you give it back. That's what I want to teach my children. More than a great education, I just want [Maven] and her brothers to be empathic."

    The Crutch star's outlook was guided partly by the 2014 crash he was involved in, which left him critically injured and killed his friend James McNair.

    Tracy recalled hearing his grandmother's voice as he woke up in hospital.

    He said: "Just when you thought you was doing bad, there's people out there doing worse. So I feel fortunate."

    The former Saturday Night Live comic's main focus is on his family these days.

    He said: "At this point in my life, spending [time] with my children. That's it. I don't care about nothing else in this world."

    The former 30 Rock star only seeks out project "with a heart".

    He said of his career choices: "Anything with a heart. If it doesn't have a heart, I don't wanna do it.

    "You gotta have fun."

    And Tracy thinks his career is only getting "better" as he's got older because he is so much more appreciative.

    He said: "I love everything that I've done. Im an older man now, so it's that much fun. It's getting even better now that I have the experience.

    "You can't see how big the mountain is if you're right up on it. You have to step back and look at it and go, 'Wow, that mountain is big.'

    "Now I see how big this mountain is. Now I'm gonna climb it. And I'm gonna climb it just because it's there."

    Away from work, Tracy walks two-and-a-half miles every day, trains regularly, and is using Mounjaro.

    He said: "I'm just trying to live good. I'm not worried about how I'm [going to] die. I'm just trying to worry about how I live. I'm living good."
