    The disgraced former leader of Gloriavale has been sent to prison for more than two years, after admitting to a raft of sex offences


    Howard Temple pleaded guilty to 12 charges earlier this year - including indecent assault, and common assault - involving six complainants over two decades.

    He was sentenced to 26 months in jail at Greymouth District Court today.

    Judge Raoul Neave says it appears Temple lacked concern for the people he was there to protect.

    He says there's an element of hypocrisy in its aggravated actions, when viewed against the values of his community.
