Seth Rogen says the Golden Globes were "a good poaching ground" for season two of The Studio

The 43-year-old actor - who stars and directs the Apple TV sitcom as well as serving as ex ecutive producer - has confirmed Sunday's (11.01.26) ceremony has given the team plenty of material for the next batch of episodes.

He told reporters in the press room: "Yes, several things happened today and leading up to this even that we've written directly into the show."

In the first season, the eighth episode is set - and was filmed - at the Golden Globes, while there are plenty of opportunities for cameos.

He added: "A lot of people came up to us [tonight] and said 'Put me in your show, I'll do anything!'

"The head of Sony, Tom (Rothman). A lot of the studio heads want to be on the show. Ted [Sarandos] kind of ruined it.

"here's a few people we roped in tonight. This is a good poaching ground for us."

Seth also revealed that filming is set to get underway "in a week".

During his acceptance speech after winning the award for Best Television Series - Musical Or Comedy, Seth - who also won the best actor prize for his role as Matt Remick - heaped praise on the wider team who made the show happen.

He said on stage: "Half our writers are at table one and the other half are at table 228. "We shoot our show in continuous takes. And part of the reason I wanted to do that is it doesn't work unless the whole crew really comes together to make it work.

"And so, I really want to thank our crew, most of whom don't get invited to this, but they should."

Meanwhile, Seth couldn't help but see the humour in his big win, just months after the show satirised the ceremony.

After winning his acting award, he laughed as he took to the stage: "This is so weird! We just pretended to do this. And now it is happening!

"I thought the only way I would get to hold one is to create a show to give myself a fake one."
