Grimes and Elon Musk disagree over screen time for their children

The 37-year-old singer - whose real name is Claire Boucher - has children X, five, Y, four, and Tao, three, with the Space X boss and she admitted there is constantly "huge debate" about the kids' exposure to tablets and other devices because she would rather avoid it, but the 54-year-old billionaire is "fine" with it.

Asked if the children ever "get screen time", Grimes replied on X: "Huge debate cuz the other parent is fine w it but it's fairly avoided.

"If it happens we focus on great art and ideally slower stuff like ghibli that isn't constantly changing context."

Grimes doesn't often speak about her children on social media, but she went onto the micro-blogging platform - which is owned by Elon - to praise their "pure aura" and revealed one of her brood had an "unusual" bond with a group of birds.

She wrote: "I try to never talk abt or show my kids because they deserve the right to anonymity but i just have to say their pure aura is unmatched.

"One of them even inexplicably commanded a flock of crows for while.

"Might be biased but this seems unusual (sic)"

She later noted: "What's hilarious is my dad also has an allegiant flock of crows (sic)"

The Genesis singer claimed last year she had "tried begging" to keep her children out of the spotlight and she has "grave concern" about their lives being public.

She wrote on X last year: "I unfortunately do not control the internet and cannot wipe this from the internet. I have tried begging the public and my kids' dad to keep them offline, and I've tried legal recourse.

"I've seen young ppl destroyed by the internet too.

"The state of my children's lives being public is of grave concern to me and I think about how to solve this every day. It's insane to me that there's no way to deal with this.(sic)"

And in December, Grimes alleged Elon - who has 14 children in total - had blocked her on X.

"After a user commented that Grimes does not follow Elon, she wrote: "For context I'm just living my life. He followed me then blocked me. I'm not gna be following and unfollowing. My only priority is co parenting, I am not interested in public dramatics. This is so silly lol.(sic)"
