The Government is establishing a group to broaden the conversation with Maori on fresh water

Environment Minister David Parker has briefed the Iwi Chairs Forum meeting on the plans for the group, called Kahui Wai Maori - the Maori Freshwater Forum.
Parker says the Government wants to include more voices, from different areas of Maoridom, in the debate about fresh water.
One of the main issues will be working with the group to ensure plans are you place to identify and address 'at-risk' catchments.
