An Auckland teenager has been crowned the world's Microsoft PowerPoint champion

Fifteen-year-old Tristan Mona has beaten more than 760-thousand competitors from over a hundred countries- in an exam to re-create a presentation put together by Certiport and Microsoft.

The Avondale High pupil has been practising his Power point skills since February - spending about three hours a day honing his skills.

Mona has collected his seven-thousand-dollar cash prize at the Hilton Orlando in Florida.
