    A willingness to branch out across the defensive spectrum has helped earn Karin Burger a spot in the Silver Ferns for next month's Quad Series


    After previously playing either goal defence or goal keep, Burger spent the
    ANZ Premiership season at wing defence for the Central Pulse.

    Burger says she's surprised that she's come this far.



    The Silver Ferns play England on September 15th, with a new coach to be named
    before September 10th.
