Footage emerges of Collingwood coach consoling emotional team following AFL grand final defeat to West Coast

Alex Woodward, who's responsible for running out team messages and water to players, has become an unfortunate villain when he played a part in a blunder that cost the Magpies a goal, in a game they lost by just five points.

Woodward got tangled up with one of his players Jaidyn Stephenson during the game, preventing him from taking a mark.

It resulted in an Eagles player intercepting the ball, and kicking a goal.
