The search for a change in environment has landed Daniel Hunter on the Gold Coast

The search for a change in environment has landed Daniel Hunter on the Gold Coast

The Kiwi swimmer moved across the ditch after last month's Pan Pacific Championships in a bid to speed up his progression in the sport.

Hunter says having extra competition in training has had massive benefits.

He says there's such a high concentration of top talent on the Gold Coast which is great.

Daniel Hunter will compete in the 50, 100 and 200 metre freestyle at the New Zealand short course championships which start in Auckland today.
