The 43-year-old former Silver Ferns midcourter has come out of retirement in a player/coach capacity for the Stars after captain Grace Kara withdrew due to pregnancy.
Stars coach Kiri Wills says the reality is that 50-percent of their squad is under the age of 21 so they need a player like Bailey.
She says the experience they lost with Kara is critical to replace so the young players build and grow to become better.
