The 2016 and 2017 champion is now in the United States, after setting a record for the 3200 metre race of 3.53.1 on the way to his first Cup win.
The Fixer is the favourite for this afternoon's race which starts at 12 past five this afternoon.
Mark Purdon drove Lazarus to both his wins and will be on board Cruz Bromac this afternoon- he's expecting the winning time to be somewhere between 3 minutes 55 and 3-58.
He says stayers like Captain Dolmio, Lacharburn and Tiger Tara will likely make sure the pace is high.
