People are being warned not to assume the man accused of the mosque attacks is mentally ill

Mental Health Foundation CEO Shaun Robinson says research shows people struggling with their mental health are far less likely to commit gun crimes and mass shootings than the average person.
He says portraying mentally ill people as violent is based on stigma and bigotry, and is hugely destructive.
Robinson says it builds a sense of fear, isolation and discrimination.
