The top end of Auckland's housing market is easing off
1 May 2019
OneRoof.co.nz is reporting 1.5 million-dollar-plus sales accounted for just under 8 per cent of Auckland's market activity.
OneRoof editor Owen Vaughan says those at the higher end tend to withdraw from the market, if they don't think it's the best time to sell.
He says these figures were recorded before the capital gains tax decision was made - and he believes the high-end property sellers and buyers were probably holding off.
