Record low interest rates could see people look beyond the bank for their savings

The Reserve Bank has cut the OCR to 1.5 percent.
ANZ and Kiwibank immediately responded by reducing their interest rates, and the other big banks are expected to follow suit.
One Roof editor Owen Vaughan says with low interest rates on savings accounts, and a capital gains tax on the scrap heap, people may look to buy up property.
He says it's likely investors will come back to the market
