Climate change rallies are being held today outside banks in Wellington, Nelson, Christchurch, and Dunedin.
The climate group 350 Aotearoa is calling on the TSB, The Co-operative Bank, and Kiwibank to make positive changes towards a low emission economy.
Spokesperson, Erica Finnie, says these events will help encourage banks to make this decision.
She says banks need to show leadership and make this move fast.
