The Education Minister wants teachers to lay down their placards and get back to the negotiating table

Chris Hipkins says he can't see the justification for the May 29th strike, considering the 1.2 billion dollar package on the table.
He says they are turning down some very big pay offers - bigger than most people are getting.
Hipkins says facilitated bargaining is the way to avoid strike action.
