28-year-old Queenstown pilot, Mitchell Gameren, and six-tourists died in an Alpine Adventures scenic helicopter crash at Fox Glacier more than three years ago.
Owner operator, James Scott, was ordered to pay 64-thousand dollars in fines, for Health and Safety charges in the Christchurch District Court today.
Brett Gameren, pilot Mitch's brother, says Mitch had been offered a job in Queenstown, but his loyalty led him to give the West Coast company one more flying season.
He says there's no such thing as closure in a case like this.. and they'll miss Mitch forever.
