Cautious optimism from one expert that this country can change its violent culture

The Government's investing an additional 320-million dollars, as part of its Wellbeing Budget, in trying to break the cycle of violence and providing better support for victims.
HELP executive director Kathryn McPhillips says they know what interventions work but implementing them takes time.
She says there's a process that needs to occur so it's vital the Government continues to prioritise the issue because one cash injection won't be enough.
