The All Blacks selectors need to see that Sonny Bill Williams is fit

The All Blacks selectors need to see that Sonny Bill Williams is fit

The Blues midfielder has been sidelined since March after undergoing microscopic knee surgery.

Coach Steve Hansen says they are well endowed with midfield talent, and those who have played for them will get their opportunity to push their case before the World Cup.

He says Williams doesn't need to prove he's a quality player, they just need to see his fitness is at test level.

Hansen says he understands people think Williams is running out of time, but he's played over 50 test matches, which shows he's well proven.
