As the Chiefs injury list continues to grow, versatility amongst their forwards is becoming more valued

Loose forward Mitchell Brown's season is all but over after suffering a knee injury in the loss to the Blues.

That's seen Bay of Plenty's Aaron Carroll and Counties Manukau's Damon Leasausu brought into the side as injury cover.

Cooper says Brown is one of many players who can move around the forward pack, but there are plenty of other options as well.

He says Aaron Carroll has those qualities, and Jesse Parete and Peter Gus Sowakula have also improved in their second year.

The Chiefs host the Reds on Friday night.
