The former Silver Ferns captain has been selected in New Zealand's netball World Cup squad after being dropped by coach Noeline Taurua in December.
Rore has been in the top five in deflections and intercepts, leading the Pulse into the ANZ Premiership final.
She says adversity made her want to be selected more.
Rore says it drove her and made her appreciate things.
There are 781 test caps amongst the squad, seven of the 12 players went to the last World Cup.
