The kiwi used a six iron to ace the 145 metre par three 11th hole.
And to celebrate Ko bought a round of beers for the members of the media.
Unfortunately, Ko finished the round with an even par 71, to finish the tournament at five over par.
The leaders at seven-under par, are yet to tee off.
