Restrictions on flu jabs, as winter starts to bite

Pharmac says we've nearly drained our national stockpile of influenza vaccine ... the good news is that means it's already in the community.
However it's advising medical professionals to target the remaining jabs to those most at risk, like children and pregnant women.
Immunisation Advisory Centre Director Nikki Turner says the record uptake this year shows the immunisation message is getting through, so it would be unfortunate to turn eager people away.
She says it can be disappointing for GPs to have to tell healthy people wanting a flu jab, that the vaccine's being held for the more vulnerable.
