Bangladesh have lost twice since their opener against South Africa, while Sri Lanka has a win, loss and a no result against Pakistan.
Sri Lanka hold a 36 to 7 advantage in their historic head to head, but their batting coach Jon Lewis says a one-off match is different to a series.
He says already you've seen World Cup cricket isn't the same as bilateral series and they have a lot of faith in their squad.
Rain is forecast for Bristol.
