Queensland fullback Kalyn Ponga refuses to speculate about rugby future ahead of State of Origin match

Queensland fullback Kalyn Ponga has refused to speculate about a future in rugby ahead of Sunday's second State of Origin match

Ponga confirmed reports Wallabies coach Michael Cheika called him but repeatedly knocked back questions about a possible code switch.

He says the call was "ages ago" and he didn't want to touch on it, nor did he want to talk about switching to union in the future.

Ponga, who has expressed an interest in playing for the All Blacks before, described himself as a New Zealander/Queenslander to media though.
