Westland Dairy shareholders are voting today on whether to sell the under-performing co-op to Chinese dairy giant, Yili .
The first part of the meeting is said to be finished and votes should be counted within the next hour.
Federated Farmers dairy spokesperson, Chris Lewis, says the wider dairy industry and the Government will be watching closely.
