Two pioneering Bay of Plenty businesses are getting a cash injection from the Provincial Growth Fund

Geo40 uses world first technology to extract silica from fluids used to generate geothermal electricity.
It's getting a 15 million dollar share of the pie to build a large-scale plant near Taupo,.
The silica will then be exported overseas.
A further seven million dollars will go to Eco Gas, to build a biogas plant in Reporoa that will see energy, carbon dioxide and nutrients recovered from food waste destined for landfills.
