Hundreds more Auckland children have measles jab since vaccination age reduced
Hundreds more young Auckland children have had their measles jab in the three weeks since the vaccination age was reduced
9 July 2019
They can now get immunised from one year old, down from 15 months.
Just over one and a half thousand Auckland infants received their first dose of the measles, mumps and rubella vaccine between June 11 and 28 as a result of the lowering of the age.
Another 769 children between 12 and 15 months were given the vaccine because they were already booked in for it.
