The Blues have won back to back series' over Queensland for the first time since 2005 after winning game three 26-20 in Sydney.
Fittler took over the head coaching role last year and says the Queensland side four years ago was a lot different to the current crop.
He says they've worked hard as staff and made big calls, but there's a really good footy team and if people want to get in they'll have to work hard as well.
