There are hopes a multi-million dollar Super Fund investment, will help the tourism industry fill demand for visitor beds

There are hopes a multi-million dollar Super Fund investment, will help the tourism industry fill demand for visitor beds

It's putting 300-million dollars into a hotel portfolio which so far includes two properties in Auckland and one in Christchurch.

Tourism Industry Aotearoa CEO Chris Roberts says New Zealand needs more than four and a half thousand extra beds by 2025.

He says the industry's not yet meeting the forecast demand, so the Super Fund's investment will go some way to close that gap.
