Brooks Koepka a warm favourite to claim his first British Golf Open title

Brooks Koepka's a warm favourite to claim his first British Open title when the year's first final men's golf major gets underway in Northern Ireland tonight

The US PGA champion's caddie Ricky Elliott is a Royal Portrush native, a big advantage on the famed Links course.

Koepka says unlike regular tournaments, he only practices before majors.

He says he touched a club for the first time in 10 days this week, but is in a nice rhythm now.

Darren Clarke is in the first group to get underway at 5-35 this evening.

New Zealand's Ryan Fox tees off at 11-30 tonight.
