Eight juvenile inmates surrender after riot at NSW Central Coast centre

Across the tasman… Eight inmates have surrendered after a riot where garden tools have been used to "target sex offenders", leaving seven injured at a juvenile justice centre on the NSW Central Coast

The riot broke out about 8.30pm on Sunday, with reports several inmates assaulted each other.

Six inmates were taken to hospital, including an 18-year-old who is in a critical condition.

Meanwhile, several inmates remain on the roof at the complex nearly 24 hours after the riot started.
