    Welcome news for Auckland motorists - the city's getting another Park and Ride


    Auckland Transport is set to open more than 280 carparks at Takanini over the next couple of weeks.

    It's also adding more spaces at the Albany and Hibiscus Coast Busway Stations.

    AT's Mark Lambert says park and rides help free up the roads by stopping commuter trips that would otherwise have been made by car.

    Auckland has close to 6-thousand park and ride bays - most of them full by eight in the morning.
