A coroner's inquest into the 2013 death of Hineihana Mausii is before the Dunedin District Court - and expected to conclude today.
The court has heard Hineihana was repeatedly diagnosed by the Southern District Health Board as having a viral illness.
But after being discharged from hospital twice in two days - the little girl went into respiratory arrest and couldn't be revived.
She was later found to have leukemia.
The Otago Daily Times report paediatricians told the court Hineihana shouldn't have been allowed to leave the hospital.
