Auckland Council is pushing back against the perception it's selling off parks

A report shows the council spent half a million dollars more on acquiring new land this year compared to last - enough for 13 new parks and open spaces.
Environment and Community Committee chair Penny Hulse says the amount they sold off was minuscule compared to that.
She says just 1.6 percent of all land transactions were sales.
