    First captain, now coach

    First captain, now coach

Danny Hay is the new All Whites boss, replacing Fritz Schmid, who resigned in June.

The former New Zealand skipper led Eastern Suburbs to their first domestic title win last year, and has previously coached the national under-17 men's team.

Rory McIlroy has won the PGA Tour's biggest cash prize for the second time in four years with a commanding win at the season-ending Tour Championship in Atlanta.

The Northern Irishman has secured a 15-million dollar payday by claiming the FedEx Cup, in the first season the final tournament and season title have been guaranteed to be won by the same person.

McIlroy finished four-shots clear at 18-under.

David Reynolds has re-ignited his feud with Kiwi Supercars driver Scott McLaughlin.

McLaughlin has dominated in his Ford Mustang this season, winning 16 of 22 races.

But Reynolds believes the defending champion is driving away from the pack, thanks to an unfair mechanical advantage.

He says McLaughlin "might as well be driving an F1".
