    Man has serious injuries following gas bottle exploded and house fire in Hawke's Bay

    A man has serious injuries after a gas bottle exploded, starting a roaring fire in his Hawke's Bay home


    The explosion occurred at an isolated rural property in Mahia, about two this morning.

    Fire-fighters say the house was well on fire when crews arrived.
