The bulk of World Cup winning side named in 16 strong Silver Ferns squad for Constellation Cup series against Australia

The bulk of the World Cup winning side have been named in a 16 strong Silver Ferns squad for the Constellation Cup series against Australia next month

11 members of the Netball World Cup team are included with the exception of Casey Kopua who retired after the World Cup.

Veterans Laura Langman, Maria Folau and Katrina Rore have been included, which has brought a smile to coach Noeline Taurua's face.

The two players confirmed for January's ASB Classic in Auckland will meet in Sunday's US Open women's final.

19 year old Bianca Andreescu has beaten Belinda Bencic 7-6 7-5 and will face Serena Williams, who will be gunning for her record equalling 24th Grand Slam title.

The Green Bay Packers have kicked off the NFL season with a tight win over division-rivals the Chicago Bears.

The Packers have run out 10-3 winners in Chicago.
