Tall Blacks guard Ethan Rusbatch has been given an opportunity to impress ahead of the new Australian Basketball League season

Tall Blacks guard Ethan Rusbatch has been given an opportunity to impress ahead of the new Australian Basketball League season

The former development player's been called into the Breakers squad as an injury replacement for captain Tom Abercrombie who's sustained a quad tear in Hobart.

Abercrombie's expected to be sidelined for up to three weeks, which puts him in doubt for next month's games against NBA teams the Memphis Grizzlies and Oklahoma City Thunder in the US.
