An independent investigation's underway - to find out how a student's death at a Christchurch university residential hall went unnoticed

A young man's body was found at Sonoda Residential Hall in Ilam on Monday night.
It's understood the body had been there for weeks.
The University's Vice-Chancellor, Professor Cheryl de la Rey, says support is being offered to students.
She says while the police investigation continues - they are limited in what they can say about the specific circumstances surrounding the students' death.
