    Steven Adams will be expected to take on more of a leadership role for the Oklahoma City Thunder when the NBA season gets underway next month


    The Kiwi centre will be one of the franchise's most senior players this campaign, after an off-season which saw stars Russell Westbrook and Paul George traded.

    Coach Billy Donovan says that means they'll expect a bit more from Adams.



    The Thunder play the New Zealand Breakers in a pre-season match on October 10th.
