The Court of Appeal has ruled Engineering NZ can continue procedures against engineer Alan Reay - after a series of appeals
The building has become a symbol of the February 2011 Earthquake - when its collapse killed 115.
Reay says another hearing is an unjustifiable waste of focus and resource for Engineering NZ and the engineering profession.
He says the tragedy will haunt him for the rest of his life, but he's done everything within his reach to identify what happened - and ensure it won't happen again.
Reay says he will now take some time to consider the decision.
