A survey on water quality raises questions about the effects of contaminants on aquatic life

A four-yearly survey by the Institute of Environmental Science and Research has detected low levels of organic contaminants in our groundwater.
Low levels of pesticides were found in nearly one quarter of the samples, including one result of glyphosate.
ESR Principal Scientist Murray Close says the water is safe for humans, but he has concerns for crustaceans, which may be more susceptible to contaminants such as oestrogen.
