    A serious crash involving a motorbike and a car in mid-Canterbury


    Emergency services are at the scene on Dunford Street in Rakaia.

    Police say they were called to the collision just before 1 this afternoon.

    They say it appears one person is seriously injured.

    The road is closed and diversions are in place.
