War medals stolen from a Whangarei home five years ago - have been returned to the owner's delighted widow

Seven of Fred Hyslop's medals were taken during the robbery.

Now four have been found on the ground in Kamo Road, either by builders or road contractors, who dropped them off at the Whangarei RSA on Friday.

But they didn't leave any contact name or numbers.

Fred's widow, Peggy Hyslop is now appealing for the finder to come forward so she can thank them.
